Pre-Production - Little Witch

Stuff done for a college semester group project. The assignment was to pre-produce an animated short, from scripts to animatic. These are the things I did on my own to collaborate: the character designs for the main characters, as well as some storyboard and animatic frames. The rest were either done together as a group or each one separately with its parts.
A summary of the story: a girl is cycling home when she almost hits a cat and ends up breaking her bike when she swerves to avoid it. She follows the cat to see if everything is okay with him and finds a magical fair, where the cat guides her to a broom shop to replace her bike. After buying her first magical broom, she spends the rest of the day trying to fly with it, but fails at every attempt. After almost giving up and with emotional support from the cat, she finally succeeds and they both fly away and enjoy the starry sky
